Authors submitting to SOJOLICS are required to carefully adhere to the following guidelines. Submissions that do not conform to these requirements may be returned for correction before being considered for review.
i. Originality and Exclusivity:
a.
Manuscripts must be original contributions to scholarship, not published or
under review anywhere at the time of submission.
b.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted material
(tables, figures, images, or data) before submission.
ii. Manuscript Length:
a.
Main research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references).
b.
Short Communications/Field Reports: 2,000–4,000 words.
c.
Book Reviews: 1,000–2,500 words.
d.
Remarks: 1,000–2,500 words
e.
Replies: 1,000–2,500 words
f.
Rejoinders: 1,000–2,500 words
g.
Manuscripts exceeding the prescribed length may be considered only in
exceptional cases with prior editorial approval.
iii. File Format and Style:
a.
Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
b.
Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spacing, 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on
all sides.
c.
Pages should be numbered consecutively at the center.
d.
Use British or American English consistently throughout the manuscript.
iv. Manuscript Structure:
Each
submission must be organized as follows:
1.
Title Page
a.
Title of the paper (concise and informative).
b.
Author(s) full name(s).
c.
Institutional affiliation(s).
d.
ORCID iD(s) where available.
e.
Corresponding author’s email address and phone number.
2.
Abstract
a.
200–250 words.
b.
Clearly state the objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.
3.
Keywords
a.
4–6 keywords in alphabetical order, separated by commas.
4.
Main Text
a.
Introduction (background, problem statement, objectives).
b.
Literature Review (summary of related studies).
c.
Methodology (data, instruments, and procedures).
d.
Results/Findings (presented clearly, with tables/figures where necessary).
e.
Discussion (interpretation of findings, theoretical and practical
implications).
f.
Conclusion and Recommendations.

Acknowledgements (if any).

References
a.
Follow APA 7th Edition referencing style strictly.
b.
Ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list and vice versa.
v. Tables, Figures, and Images:
a.
All tables, figures, and images must be embedded in the manuscript text, not
placed at the end.
b.
Each must be sequentially numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2).
c.
Provide clear titles/captions and indicate the source if adapted.
d.
Figures should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
vi. Language of Submission:
a.
Manuscripts are accepted in English.
vii. Submission Procedure:
a.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically as email attachments to:

b.
The subject line should read: “Manuscript Submission, (Author’s Name)”.
c.
A confirmation of receipt will be sent within five working days.
viii. Ethical Responsibility:
a.
Authors must declare that their submission complies with ethical standards.
b.
Research involving human participants should include evidence of ethical
approval (where applicable).
c.
Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or accidental plagiarism, is strictly
prohibited and will lead to rejection.
