Abstract
This paper explores the role of translation in globalizing awareness of Tinubunomics- a term used to describe the economic policies of President Tinubu of Nigeria between 2023 and 2025. As Nigeria takes significant economic strides under Tinubu’s administration, including fuel subsidy removal, currency reforms, and infrastructure investment, the global understanding of these reforms remains limited due to linguistic barriers. Through the English-French translation of comprehensive text detailing these policies, this study examines how translation functions not only as a linguistic tool but also as a means of international communication, economic diplomacy, and narrative framing. The paper also addresses the challenges of translating political and economic discourse in a way that preserves context, nuance, and intent. Ultimately, it highlights how translation can be strategically employed to shape global perception and foster informed international engagement with Nigerian economic reforms.
