The effect of Utilization of Modern Educational Technology in Teaching Arabic Language in Traditional Arabic and Islamic Schools in Southwest of Nigeria

    Abstract:

This paper examines the utilization of modern educational technologies in teaching Arabic language to enhance and advance the educational process in Traditional Arabic and Islamic (TAI) schools. Education is the foundation of the present and the basis for future development, necessitating continuous advancement to keep pace with contemporary demands. In TAI schools, traditional teaching methods have limited effectiveness; however, the integration of modern technological tools can provide a more engaging, efficient, and effective learning experience. The study adopts a pragmatic theoretical approach to analyze how various technological apparatuses can support Arabic language instruction. Historically, teachers relied on blackboards and textbooks to deliver lessons, but current methods incorporate diverse devices and tools that facilitate teaching and learning. The application of modern technologies allows for more concrete learning, optimized use of time, and reduced teaching effort. The study concludes that contemporary Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers must be computer literate and committed to continuous professional development through seminars and conferences to effectively implement modern educational technologies.
